Help Support Chris in Urgent Medical Need

Hello, my name is Bermane, and I currently live in Florida, USA. I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear brother in Christ, Chris, who has been hospitalized since last week.

As many of you know, the situation in Haiti has become extremely difficult. The country is facing severe political, social, and economic instability. In many areas—especially in Port-au-Prince—schools have been closed for over two years due to gang violence and insecurity. Countless families have lost their jobs, homes, and livelihoods. Chris is one of them.

Chris is a dedicated teacher who once taught in a secondary school, doing his best to support his family. But with schools shut down, he has been without a steady income for over two years. Despite the hardship, he continued to push forward.

In July, he began experiencing serious pain in one of his legs and had to seek medical treatment. Even something as basic as the 2,000 gourdes (~$15 USD) needed for treatment was often out of reach. Just as he was recovering from that, he suddenly became very ill last Wednesday morning with severe stomach pain. He was rushed to the hospital, and the doctors said he needed emergency surgery.

Unfortunately, Chris does not have the financial means to cover the cost of the surgery and ongoing treatment. I have been doing all I can to help, but times have been hard for me as well. That’s why I am turning to you for support.
