Chris is a Disaster Relief First Responder and former Volunteer Fireman who spent time helping devastated communities around our country. Chris (age 50) is brave, selfless and often puts others before himself. He is a devoted, caring dad of 4 and loving grandpa. For the last 22 years, Chris helped raise his ex-wife’s 4 children as his own and now has sole custody of his 2 youngest (age 2 & 10).

In May 2025, Chris’ arm was severely injured in a chainsaw accident. In June, he was diagnosed with STAGE 3 RECTAL CANCER. In July, Chris started a 5.5 week treatment plan (8 daily chemo-pills alongside radiation). As of August 6th, Chris is unemployed due to side effects, treatments and the inability to meet job demands. In October, he will receive port placement and continue 4 additional months of chemo. Surgery will be in the new year.

Chris is seeking emergency financial assistance with his mortgage, land payment, electric bill, cell phone bill, gas for travel, auto insurance and daycare so he can attend treatments.

More about Chris:

Growing up, Chris proudly served as a VOLUNTEER FIREMAN in NY. He fought the wildfires in the Long Island Pine Barrens (Battleground: The Sunrise Fire of 1995).

As a DISASTER RELIEF FIRST RESPONDER, Chris’ jobs sent him to areas devastated by storms, hurricanes and tornadoes: NY (Sandy 2012), TX (Harvey 2017), LA (Irma 2021), FL (lan 2022), NC, SC, GA (Helene-Milton 2024), MS ice storms and MI (Ice Storm of Century 2025). Chris spent months away from home helping with muck n' gut and rebuild, as well as storm debris/tree removal and rubble cleanup. Long devoted hours of physical labor enabled other companies to come into our communities to restore power, rebuild homes, clear roads and make parks safe again.

As for Hurricane Ian, Chris was part of the Debris Removal First Responders to help Florida's southwest. Days prior to the Sept 2022 storm, companies mobilized and poured in from Louisiana and states around our country. These mission-minded teams helped get our lights turned back on, streets cleared, parks reopened and enabled roofers to access damage caused by fallen trees. Chris and many other dedicated hard workers were stationed at the Venice Florida Airport for months. They slept in trailers, ate under mess-tents and used portable laundry/shower trucks day after day. Live videos shared on you tube show hundreds of bucket trucks returning from long laboring days of tree, debris and rubble clean up around Sarasota, Charlotte and Lee Counties. Chris worked 7 days a week, dawn to dusk and never took a day off. Chris went home to see his kids during Christmas and returned to Cape Coral and Ft. Myers where he trailer-camped in a vacant lot along I-75. He spent his days cutting down and clearing out damaged trees and cleaning up the massive amounts of rubble on Ft. Myers Beach. He finally went home April 2023.

Chris went out of his way to work hard and help others and now he needs help during this challenging time. Our hope is to obtain financial relief for Chris so he can focus on beating this disease, heal quickly and be there for his kids.

We understand times are hard, so even a small $5 or $10 donation is helpful and appreciated. Together we can help. Please keep Chris in your positive thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your love & support.
