Support My Battle Against Pancreatic Cancer

Hi everyone,

My name is Chhean Chhoeuth. I am 49 years old and have 6 beautiful children. 2 of my children are teens that I take care of on my own.

On March 23rd, I went to the hospital due to increased pain in my stomach and found news that would suddenly change my life. For the last couple of months, I have had off and on pain in my stomach. Last month I ended up in the hospital and was informed that my gallbladder was inflamed and needed to get my gallbladder removed. After removing my gallbladder, I still felt ongoing pain. That pain increased so I went back to the hospital. They found a large mass on my pancreas that also shown lesions on my liver. They completed many tests that confirmed that I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The survival rate of this cancer is generally poor and makes me very sad that I am going through this. My oncologist informed me that I can try to work due to the ongoing treatment I will be receiving. I can now work a reduced schedule if work allows me to and see how I feel. This is good news for me. The doctor informed me that my cancer is aggressive and so will be my treatment. I will need to be able to recover from it and wont be able to work full time. My treatment is to go to chemo once every two weeks and getting injections to make sure my blood count is stable.

This is such a burden to me and my teen children as medical bills will be high and I will need as much support as I can to take care of my health and my children. My goal is to prolong my life as long as I can for my children and be able to pay for our rent, food and medical bills. I am asking at this time if any donations can be provided, even if it is small as this will make an impact for my family and myself during this time. I am going to be strong for not only myself but for my children. I will also be strong for my family, loved ones, friends and coworkers. I hope that I get to see both of my teens graduate and have more time with my two granddaughters. Hopefully, I can get to enjoy more of life and of course what I can now. I know I need to fight and have the strength to pull through during this journey of mine. I decided to put together this GoFundMe in hopes that I ask for help to cover upcoming costs and help alleviate the financial burden during this time.
