Stand with Charlotte and Her Girls
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Bailey, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my best friend Charlotte—many of you may also know her by her digital creator name, Letty Bitez.
Charlotte is one of the strongest, most resilient people I’ve ever met. She’s also someone who has quietly carried more than most people will ever know, especially as a mother. For the past several years, I’ve stood by her side as she’s fought relentlessly to protect herself and her two young daughters from ongoing harm in a system that seems stacked against her at every turn.
Now, she’s in the middle of a deeply important and incredibly exhausting legal battle: an Order for Protection (OFP) trial that could quite literally determine the safety, well-being, and emotional future of her children, and while she won't say it, hers too. This process has involved years of documentation, heartbreaking disclosures from her girls, mounting evidence of medical and emotional neglect, and visible signs of trauma that no child should ever have to carry.
But despite the overwhelming amount of evidence, Charlotte has found herself up against a legal system that far too often minimizes or overlooks the voices of protective parents, especially mothers.
She has finally secured legal counsel in an effort to give her and her daughters the best possible chance at safety and justice. Her lawyers are charging $100 per hour, and with court filings, preparation, appearances, and possible appeals or follow-up actions, the financial burden has become enormous.
Charlotte was not financially prepared for this. She didn’t expect to be pulled into a full-blown trial, and certainly not with this level of intensity. But when it came down to it—when it became clear that no one else would fight for her children the way she could—she chose to take this risk. To find an attorney. To build the case. To stand up. To show up in court, even if it meant standing alone.
I’ve watched her pour every ounce of herself into protecting those girls. I’ve seen her give up everything—jobs, housing, financial security, even her own safety, knowing what she was walking into—just to make sure her daughters had even a shot at being safe. And I’ve watched her hold it together when most people would have broken.
This fundraiser is here to help lighten that load.
The funds raised will go directly toward legal expenses:
Attorney’s fees ($100/hour)
Court-related costs (filings, document prep, travel, etc.)
Any unexpected legal fees that come up as this trial unfolds
Anything beyond those immediate needs will go toward securing longer-term safety for Charlotte and her daughters, whether that means relocation support, counseling for the girls, or support for her nonprofit advocacy work that aims to bring attention to these very system failures.
Charlotte isn’t just fighting for her children—she’s also fighting for every parent who has been silenced, every child who wasn’t believed, and every survivor who was told “that’s just the way it is.” Through her work with The Phoenix Haven Project, she’s using her pain and lived experience to advocate for real change in how we protect children and hold abusers accountable—even after separation.
But right now, she needs help.
She needs community.
She needs legal support.
And most of all, she needs breathing room to focus on the most important fight of her life: protecting her daughters.
If you can give, please do. If you can’t, please consider sharing this fundraiser widely. Every act of support counts—truly.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with her.
