My name is Cedric Chaney. I am a 71-year-old GBM from Chicago.

On December 15th, 2024, I lost my husband of 15 years, Reginald Griffin, to congestive heart failure. His health had been declining since before COVID, and I fought every day to keep him alive. I watched my husband go from 170 lbs to 105 lbs by the time of his passing. I was devastated and drained both physically and emotionally.

Reggie was a recognized local hero in our community of Edgewater who fought tirelessly for the rights and safety of the citizens of our neighborhood. I was so happy and proud to be his life partner.

Now, I am in a fight for my spousal rights and I have to hire a lawyer and go to court. Till then, I have zero financial assets as my husband was the breadwinner of the house. So, I am asking all my friends to donate $20 to help me raise money for my legal expenses and keep my household together.
