Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts, but with a fierce determination to support the woman who has always given everything to everyone else. Recently, our family received the devastating news that my mom, Cathy Fenlon, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
The reality of this diagnosis has hit us hard. She begins chemotherapy this week to try to fight this aggressive disease.
Because of the severe nature of her treatment and the toll it takes on the body, it is unlikely she will be able to work much, if at all, for the foreseeable future. Like so many, she does not have a financial safety net or significant savings to fall back on. Her focus right now needs to be entirely on fighting for her life, managing her treatments, and resting—not staring at the ceiling wondering how she will afford groceries, electricity, or basic cost-of-living expenses.
The financial strain of a cancer diagnosis builds rapidly. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward:
Covering her monthly housing costs and utility bills while she cannot work.
Out-of-pocket medical expenses, deductibles, and prescriptions.
Nutritional support, groceries, and safe transportation to and from her oncology appointments.
My mom is a fighter, but she cannot carry this mountain alone. If you are in a position to donate, please know that no amount is too small. Every single dollar offers her some breathing room and peace of mind that is absolutely vital to her healing right now.
If you are unable to contribute financially, you can still help immensely by hitting the Share button to pass this story along to your own network, and by keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support during the hardest chapter of our lives.
With love and gratitude,
The Fenlon Family
