Hi everyone, I’m Michelle, and I’m reaching out to ask for your help for my dear cousin, Cassie, who’s going through an incredibly tough time.
Back in October 2024, Cassie became really sick. At first, we thought it was just a bad stomach bug, but it turned into something much worse. For 6 days, she dealt with severe vomiting and abdominal pain, landing her in the hospital for a week. She started to feel a little better, but just 2 weeks later, she was back in the hospital, still struggling with chronic vomiting.
Cassie’s been through so much—IV meds, injections, CT scans showing issues with her small intestines, and even surgery. But the vomiting hasn’t stopped. She’s been working closely with a GI doctor, her primary care doctor, and surgeons, but even a second surgery didn’t help. She’s been out of work since November, dealing with rapid weight loss, extreme fatigue, and weakness. Watching her go through this breaks my heart—she’s always been so strong, and now her whole world has been flipped upside down.
As a single mom of 2 amazing kids who rely on her, Cassie’s doing everything she can to keep a roof over their heads, food on the table, and the lights on. But with bills piling up and disability not covering her rent, she’s in a really tough spot.
There’s still so much uncertainty ahead—more scans, more bloodwork, and the fear that this sickness might not go away anytime soon. Cassie’s scared, but she’s trying to stay strong for her kids, even on the rare good days she gets.
I can’t stand by and watch her struggle like this, so I’m asking for your help. She has already had to fight cancer, now she is dealing with all of this.
Any support you can give will go straight to covering essentials like rent, groceries, and utilities, so Cassie can focus on healing while making sure her kids are taken care of.
Even a small donation would mean the world to her and her little ones. Feel free to reach out to me directly for her CashApp/Venmo information if that would be more convenient.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my cousin through this storm—I know she’ll be so grateful for your kindness.
