Help Carolyn Honeycutt with Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Carolyn (Barber) Honeycutt, who is known and loved by many in our Karnes County community, was recently diagnosed with a rare endometrial cancer. This summer, Carolyn began having symptoms and was in and out of the hospital with many tests completed, but still was given no answers. Finally, when she landed in ICU, they were able to find the root of the problem. A large tumor was spotted, although at this time it cannot be removed safely. Carolyn has been released from the hospital with a treatment plan in place. She is home and is awaiting chemotherapy treatments to begin soon.
As many of you know, Carolyn is a hard working and kind woman who gives of herself often without expectation of anything in return. She is a woman of faith and knows the Lord will be with her every step of the way. She is a loving wife and devoted mother of 3 grown children, a grandmother of 11 and has 3 great-grandchildren. Carolyn is not only beloved by her family, but she is also cherished for her dedication and hard work in the community. She is currently the cafeteria supervisor at Kenedy Elementary, works as part-time custodial staff at FBC Kenedy, and has numerous cleaning jobs on the side as well. Mrs. Carolyn, as many children call her, has earned the admiration and respect of many young students at Kenedy Elementary with her caring smile and kind spirit. This year, Carolyn has been unable to go back to work as of yet. She has been truly missed by many, but especially the elementary students and staff as the new school year has kicked off.
As you can imagine, Carolyn's medical bills are accumulating and have not even begun to scratch the surface. This, combined with her loss of income, has created a huge financial burden on top of the physical and emotional burden she has to bear. If you are able donate any amount to help Carolyn with medical expenses on this journey to fight this rare cancer, it would be very greatly appreciated!
