Help Protect Carlton House During Future Emergencies
A few winters ago, during a severe ice storm, Carlton House experienced a complete power outage. For hours, there was no heat, no lights, and no safe place for our clients to rest comfortably. Staff worked tirelessly through dangerous snow and ice conditions to transport vulnerable individuals to another location that could provide warmth, electricity, and beds.
It took nearly four hours of driving back and forth in hazardous weather to move everyone safely. During that time, many clients were cold, exhausted, and sleeping on yoga mats on the floor while staff did everything possible to keep them safe.
No client or staff member should ever have to experience that again.
Carlton House provides addiction recovery services and mental health treatment for vulnerable members of our community, offering shelter, support, care, and stability during some of the most difficult moments in people’s lives. A backup generator would ensure that during future storms or emergencies, Carlton House can continue operating safely with heat, lighting, medical equipment, and essential services available when they are needed most.
This generator would:
Keep clients warm and safe during power outages
Reduce dangerous emergency transportation during severe weather
Allow staff to continue providing critical care and support
Protect vulnerable individuals during crises
Your support will directly help protect lives and ensure Carlton House remains a safe refuge during emergencies.
Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful difference.
Thank you for supporting Willamette Family and Carlton House.
