On March 26, 2024, a joyous occasion unexpectedly turned grave for the Calixte family as Ketia Calixte faced severe complications during a cesarean delivery. After a harrowing ordeal that included an induced coma, emergency surgery, and a prolonged stay in the intensive care unit, mother and baby were finally discharged on April 5th.
The family was once again devastated when their middle child, Hadassah, was also struck ill. She developed a severe fever and was rushed to the hospital on April 10th. She was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and is currently on an ECMO machine, bravely fighting for her life.
Throughout these challenging times husband and father, Anderson Calixte has been on unpaid leave from his job as a rideshare driver, to take care of his ailing family. He has remained steadfast by their sides, traveling from home to the hospital and back.
The Calixte family is undergoing immense emotional and financial strain. We appeal to your sense of community and kindness to help support them through this critical period. Please donate what you can to support Anderson, Ketia, and their three children. Any assistance you can provide will help alleviate their burdens as they focus on recovery and care.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
