Hello everyone,

My name is Emilee, and I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Calico. Due to tragic and unpredictable circumstances—that for now have to remain anonymous to ensure the safety of herself and her children—Calico has been left to care for her 5 beautiful children full-time on her own. Among her five kids, three are on the autism spectrum, each with their own unique needs and incredible strengths. This was sprung on her just a week ago and has left her to deal with all the finances of running their home after being left with absolutely nothing, not even a vehicle.

Calico is one of the strongest and most loving people I know. She is kind and can make anyone smile. She dedicates every moment to ensuring her children receive the care, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. However, the financial demands of specialized therapies, educational needs, and everyday living expenses are overwhelming.

Her three autistic children require additional support, including therapy sessions and special education resources, which come at a significant cost and time put in. Despite these challenges, Calico remains unwavering in her commitment to her children's well-being.

The sudden change has been overwhelming, both emotionally and financially. She is doing everything she can to provide the best care and support for her children. The demands of raising three autistic children, along with their siblings, are immense. From therapy sessions, special education needs, and medical appointments to everyday living expenses, the financial burden is more than someone should have to manage alone.

Her children continue to inspire with their resilience and joy. They have been so strong during such a huge change in their lives, and it is truly remarkable.
