- Hey! I’m Kim but this story isn’t about me! This story is about 2 people that I love very much! BUT I know that I’m not the only one that loves them beyond words! My Aunt Dolly Ayers and My Uncle Buddy Ayers are who this story is about. Last October Dolly began to have problems swallowing and went to see her primary care doctor who after seeing her multiple times over the next few months just didn’t know what to do for her. Dolly ended up going to the ER and still no answers! Meanwhile her swallowing was getting worst! She keeps loosing weight because she can’t eat. We know something is very wrong. After alot of persistent phone calls Dolly finally got to see a Gastro doctor who performed an endoscopy on her and after a lot of tests Dolly was diagnosed with esophageal cancer! This was the most devastating news anyone could ever hear! After more persistent phone calls Dolly finally got to ECU medical center to have surgery. Surgery went well. Dolly was back home and doing what seemed to be good after having half of her stomach and esophagus removed and what was left stapled together! She was in good spirits even though she can never lay flat in bed again or eat what everyone else takes for granted, solid food. She can only eat food that is ground up and then gravity will have to do its job to get the food into her stomach…. Well she never got to eat any food because on Monday Uncle Buddy called me and said are you home? Dollys heart rate is low can you come here! I jumped up and went! I found her heart rate high (155) and her blood pressure low! Her skin was burning up! So we called her surgeon and off to the ER we went! Dolly was transported back to ECU medical center Monday night. Yesterday Dolly underwent another surgery that took over 7 hours. The stabled esophagus failed. The surgeon had to go in and place a stent in her esophagus and then take a muscle from her rib to cover the area where the esophagus failed. She is in the ICU with tubes coming from everywhere. I have watched my uncle Buddy standby ready at a moments notice to do any and everything he can for the woman he loves without being able to help do the one thing he wants to do! Which is take away all of her pain and make her healthy again! It is heart breaking! I am asking all of my friends and family to please donate at least 2$ to help my uncle eat, buy gas and pay for medical expenses, then share this post! My uncle is a working man and he hasn’t worked since she had surgery the first time because he can’t leave her side! If you don’t know how to donate on this plate form you can take the money to them! If you need their address private message me! LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I have 1 more thing to ask of all of you! PRAY! PRAY HARD TO JESUS! Pray for healing and comfort for Aunt Dolly, Uncle Buddy and the family! Thank you to everyone who donates! Even 1 dollar goes along ways!
