My brother Brian is currently being detained by ICE, and our fight has only just begun. Brian has lived in the United States for 29 years and this is his home. He is a devoted father of two, a loving brother, son, and nephew, and the root of our family — always providing, loving, and caring for those around him.
This situation was truly a time-and-place circumstance, not a reflection of who Brian is. Still, we are now facing a system that feels cruel and unfair — a reminder that no one is untouched, and it could be one of yours next.
We are asking Brian’s friends and community for help with legal and lawyer expenses as he prepares to face a judge. Letters of character recommendation are also deeply appreciated to help show the man we know and love.
