My name is Barbara Wood, owner of Legacy Academy for Children in Smyrna. One of our Moms, Whitney Whitaker passed away this past December, leaving behind a husband, a 16-month-old son and a 3-year-old daughter. Whitney was diagnosed with cancer during postpartum after the birth of her son in late Summer 2023. Our hearts break for this loving family, who have been part of our Legacy Academy Family for several years.

Many of our familes have asked "what can we do". As a response, we have started this GoFundMe account for the family.
