Stand with Brad Garrow in His Cancer Fight
I am so amazed by what has occurred in the last three days. We have such an amazing community. Here is a message from Brad…..
I could write this a thousand times and still not come up with the right words to express how grateful I am for all the love and support I’ve gotten during this very dark time in my life. I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer on December 31, I knew immediately I had to go into fight mode. My last few months have been tough and there have been dark times. I get all my meals and water through a feeding tube. My coaching life has been taken away. A lot of things I’ve taken for granted have been taken away. When Ryan asked my permission to start this go fund me I agreed knowing I’d need a little boost to help with medical bills. What I got was much more. The outpouring of love and support and well wishes is something I will always cherish. It will help me get through the rest of the chemo treatments and surgeries that are to follow. It will be something I carry with me for the rest of my life. Again it’s hard to put it all in words but I am so grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you so much!!!
Recently, a very close friend of mine
received devastating news. After a lengthy illness, Brad Garrow was given the news no one wants to hear, he had cancer. Once thought to be something else, Brad learned that he had esophageal cancer and he needed to begin treatment right away. Very quickly, Brad’s life that he formerly knew needed to be put on hold to fight the battle of his life.
Since the diagnosis, he has had to be taken out of work to fully focus on the aggressive treatments. Brad is a very proud man and wouldn’t ask for help, but the bills are quickly piling up with no immediate end in sight. Many people know Brad as a football, baseball, hockey, basketball, or softball coach. Some know him as a corrections officer. Others may know him from their time at Franklin Academy where he was part of the physical education program. However you know him, it’s likely you have been touched by the type of person he is. He would try to move mountains to help anyone in need. Today, he needs our help. I know he would appreciate anything you would be willing
to give. Thank you.
