Donation protected
Thank you to everyone that has donated so far, here is an update about Amy…
Amy Michele (Inskeep) Boyer, 43, of Columbia, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at her brother Billy’s home in Pilot Grove, surrounded in love by her family.
Born September 19, 1980, in Columbia, she was the oldest of three children of Bill and Debbie (Mann) Inskeep.
Amy attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Pilot Grove and was a 1999 graduate of Pilot Grove High School. While in school at Pilot Grove Amy enjoyed playing sports and cheerleading, was a member of National Honors Society and lived life to the fullest making memories with her friends. Amy received her bachelor's degree from Central Missouri State University in 2005.
Amy moved to Columbia after graduation and worked for Kohl’s before starting her career with Shelter Insurance Company. In 2008, she met Brad Boyer and they were married on August 28, 2010 in Columbia, MO.
Amy’s love and legacy will live on through her three beautiful children, Aiden Cole, Peyton Michele and Noah Ross, in which she instilled in her love of God, family, friends, kindness, grace and strength.
Despite her courageous battle with cancer, Amy always put her children and family before herself and her own needs. At her sickest times she made sure she remembered birthdays of family and friends, shopping for holidays and continuing to manage her household and schedule for her husband and children. Much like her paternal grandmother Nona Inskeep, Amy NEVER got excited or worked up in stressful times. This trait made Amy the rock of her family’s foundation.
Although she moved to Columbia her heart was always at the farm in Pilot Grove. Amy spent many days as a child playing at her grandparents in Boonville and the farm in Nelson, MO and also at her parents’ home in Pilot Grove. Amy’s last wish was to come back to Pilot Grove to be with her children and family before passing. Amy came back to her brother Billy’s home to spend her final hours in her comfort place and family gathering place, Pilot Grove, that she always called home.
Surviving are her husband, Brad Boyer; children Aiden Cole, Peyton Michele and Noah Ross; parents, Bill and Debbie Inskeep, of Pilot Grove; maternal grandparents, Travis and Rose Mann, of Boonville; two brothers, Billy (Jaclyn) Inskeep and Andrew (Cayley) Inskeep of Pilot Grove; In-laws John & Debby Boyer, of Boonville; Nephews and Nieces Jackson Inskeep, Joseph Inskeep, Braxten Inskeep, Ayven Inskeep and Casen Inskeep. Brother in-law Russ Boyer, Rocheport and Chris & Tayler Boyer, Orlando, FL; Sister in-law Mandy Boyer, Columbia, MO; Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, J.O and Nona Mae Inskeep;
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, MO.
