Hi, I’m Leon Curry, founder of Trappy Hour Harlem, a vibrant Harlem-based event series that has celebrated Black queer joy since 2016. For nearly a decade, Trappy Hour has been a space where music, community, and culture collide—a safe, sexy, affirming place for Black queer folks to let go and turn up.

This year, on Thursday, June 26, I want to bring something unforgettable to the community—a Pride party we’ll talk about for years to come. We’re calling it:

THE BIG ONE

But here’s the truth: Pride funding is being slashed, and corporate sponsorships are becoming harder to secure—especially for Black and queer-led spaces. So I’m turning to you, the people we built this for, to help keep the magic alive.

What your support will make possible:

Booking Black queer DJs, dancers, hosts, and performers

Creating an elevated, sexy, inclusive party atmosphere

Covering costs for venue, staffing, decor, visuals, security, and essentials like wristbands and signage

Supporting queer talent and community in a meaningful, paid way
