My name is Mark Rogerson and I have set up this go fund me on behalf of Bill Patrick and his wife Anne and their 2 boys.

Bill is a former marine, fire fighter and paramedic. Bill then moved on to become an award winning journalist. 3 years ago Bill had to put that career on hold to take care of his wife Anne who had cancer. Anne is still with us but can no longer work and has been battling major health issues ever since.

To put it bluntly if they cannot figure out what is going on with Anne then she is going to waste away to nothing. Over the last 3 years Anne has lost over 100 pounds.

This entire time Bill and Anne have dedicated themselves to each other and Bills 2 young boys.

As if this wasn’t enough for them to handle , Bill was diagnosed with a crippling back injury and in February of this year he was forced to take a leave of absence from work. His employer stepped up and was able to give him half pay, this ends today the 27th of April.

As the sole income earner of his family, you can imagine the negative impact that this has had on him and his family.

To make matters worse, Bill has into what many other Veterans have in our country. The VA and the nightmare process of trying to get his medical issues approved etc. This is not a dig on the VA as they are under funded and under staffed.

Bill and I have known each other since 9th grade. We both graduated from Trumbull High School in CT in 1987. Bill has never been one to ask for help or even admit that he needs help. (i am the same way ).

Bill currently lives in TX and gives 1000% to his friends and family and has always looked out for others.

Now it is our turn to look out for a Veteran/1st responder and quite frankly a damn good human being.

With the power of social media, not only can we show a US Marine that he is not forgotten but we can help his entire family while they go thru these difficult times.
