Two days after her 51st birthday on January 18, 2024, Betsy Gibson received the devastating diagnosis of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
This cruel illness is terminal, not treatable, and has turned her family’s world upside down, and we are quickly learning how it forces a complete redefinition of living.
When she was diagnosed, she had a slight limp. In 5 short months, she’s become completely paralyzed from the chest down, and now, she’s in need of a full time care giver.
Betsy is a beloved wife to Jay, mother to JJ, sister, and friend, known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering positivity.
Now, as she faces the challenges of ALS, she needs our support for the first time ever. The costs associated with her care, including medical treatments, home modifications, uncovered equipment needs and daily living assistance, are overwhelming.
We are reaching out to the Gibson's friends, family and the entire community to help ease the financial burden on Betsy and her family. Your generous donation will directly contribute to her care and improve her quality of life during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant difference. Any unused funds will go to ALS charities.
Let’s come together to support Betsy in her fight against ALS and show her she is not alone. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
