Stand with Barry in His Cancer Battle

Hello, everyone. Thank you for your concern about our dear friend, Barry. A few months ago Barry was not feeling well and sought medical attention for a pain in his shoulder that was unusual. He also felt very rundown and tired. If you know Barry, that is very unlike him!

So after some testing Barry was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. He proceeded with radiation and began chemotherapy treatments right away. His condition has intensified quickly as the cancer moved down his spine and has created a tumour in his hip. That tumour was causing him a lot of pain so Barry is currently checked in at St. Vincent Hospital for some relief.

Ash, HJ, and I were able to visit with Barry on Tuesday. As expected, Barry has a very positive attitude and is wanting to throw all options for treatment at his condition so that he can heal and get back to his yoga mat. Laurie was also able to visit Barry and he appreciates the visits tremendously. Barry’s sister is in town and very involved in his treatment.

Right now, I think the most important thing is that you communicate with Barry and visit him in the hospital if possible. Ash, HJ, and I Will continue to post to this site to keep you up-to-date as best we can. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for one of the sweetest humans we know.
