Stand with Autumn: Facing Tumor Surgery

To Know Autumn is to Love Autumn...

In 2013, our dear sister in Christ, Autumn, underwent a major brain surgery to remove a tumor from the base of her skull. It was a long and hard recovery, and she hoped that chapter was behind her. However, in August 2024, Autumn received the devastating news that the tumor has returned and that she will need a second surgery. With little time to prepare, her surgery is set to be scheduled for January 3, 2024.

This life-saving procedure will take place in Washington DC, with her original surgeon. Being able to have surgery performed by the original surgeon is a miracle in it of itself!! The surgery is extensive, lasting about 18 hours, and will require her to remain in DC for about a month to recover enough to travel home. Recovery will be difficult, as this type of surgery often causes significant weakness.
