On January 20, 2025, we mournfully lost Auntie Chai at the premature age of 43. She is survived by her loving husband and their four sons, aged 8-18. One of the most challenging aspects of coping with the loss of a loved one is the realization that we will no longer create new memories with them. Last January, Auntie Chai received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 skin cancer, which necessitated immediate hospitalization and surgery. Regrettably, her follow-up appointment a month later revealed that the cancer had metastasized to her liver, lungs, and eventually her brain. Throughout her ordeal, Auntie Chai demonstrated extraordinary resilience and determination until her passing. Her husband is now faced with the daunting responsibility of caring for their four children alone.
