Ashley is facing a heartbreaking medical crisis after what was supposed to be a hopeful step forward with IVF turned into a nightmare. After a difficult egg retrieval procedure, Ashley suffered a ruptured cyst that led to a severe infection. Doctors found a Dermoid in her right ovary, and she had to undergo emergency surgery. Since then, Ashley has had her right ovary and fallopian tube removed, her stomach opened, and her appendix and part of her intestines taken out. She is still in the ICU, battling a fever, a high white blood cell count, and heavy breathing that has required a ventilator. This has been an overwhelming and painful journey for Ashley and for everyone who loves her.
