Stand with Arianna As She Undergoes a Bone Marrow Transplant
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
As many of you know, Arianna has been bravely battling Aplastic Anemia since June of last year. After nearly eight months of this journey, multiple infections, deep vein blood clots from her PICC line, a liver biopsy, allergic reactions, and attempting to cure her disease through Immunosuppressant Therapy (which ultimately failed), we’ve received incredible news—she has been matched with a non-related donor for a bone marrow transplant! Arianna will begin intake visits at Seattle Children’s Hospital on February 6th and be admitted on February 21st to begin this life-changing procedure that will consist of chemotherapy, full-body radiation, and other medications that will completely eliminate her existing bone marrow and immune system so the transplant can take place.
We are beyond grateful for this opportunity and for Arianna’s donor, and we are hopeful this procedure will aid our baby girl in returning to a happy, healthy, and normal life. However, as we approach the final steps of this journey, we recognize that they come with significant challenges for our family. The transplant process will require up to 100 days of care and recovery in the Seattle area, 3.5 hours away from our home in Tri-Cities, causing a lack of being able to work thus leading to financial difficulties.
We’ve been doing everything possible to keep things afloat —managing housing costs, utilities, car payments, groceries, gas, and other essentials. But now, we need our village more than ever. We are on the lengthy waitlist for the Ronald McDonald House, but they will likely not be ready for our arrival on February 6th, leaving us with the challenge of not only figuring out lodging and food, but also worrying about our financial obligations at home. Additionally, after facing infertility, we are now expecting a baby in early summer of this year.
Your support—whether through prayers, positive thoughts, or financial contributions—means the world to us and helps ensure we can give Arianna the care and stability she needs not only while in Seattle but also to have a place to return to after we come back home. It will also aid us in providing stability for our two younger children who will remain in the Tri-Cities.
We are so proud of how strong and resilient Arianna has been through this fight, and we are deeply thankful for any help you can offer as we navigate this hopefully final chapter of her health battle.
With gratitude and love,
#StandWithArianna
