Stand with Ann in Her Fight Against Cancer

Hi, I'm Katie. Many of you know I am half of the duo, "Ann and Kate", I think most of you know things have changed for my best friend very unexpectedly. My other half "Ann Chiasson Slatky", needs our help now. Ann had been suffering with some very serious back pain that was becoming just unbearable. We finally found out why the strongest woman I've ever known has been riddled with the most excruciating pain. She has a stage 4 cancerous tumor on her spine that has fractured her back in two places. It is just awful to see her in the amount of pain she's in. They are treating with radiation in hopes to shrink the beast and alieviate some of her chronic pain. The transition from intravenous ( which gives her much stronger and faster relief) meds, to oral (not as quick and less relief) has proven to be quite difficult.She continues to fight but usually has to give in at night when it becomes unbearable for her and unbearable for her and also unbearable for her son Ryan, (who stays with her every night) to see her in pain.
