Stand with Angelina in Her Lupus Journey

Dearest Family and Friends,

My Angel’s health started to decline back in December of 2023 while she was living in Chico, CA. Being young and unaware of her health, she deemed her symptoms as a minor drawn out flu. She experienced a lot of fatigue, sore joints, fevers and chills as her body slowly deteriorated. From a young and vibrant young woman, overnight turned into an ailing, unwell and ill individual. She picked up what's left of her frail ill self, and pushed through all odds to get to mama in Dothan, AL. in early March of 2024.  

As of April 9th, my daughter Angelina Xiong was rushed to the ER for respiratory distress. Once they started treating her, a lot was brought to light on her health. After 24 hours at the first hospital, she was transported by EMS Jet to ICU at UAB of Birmingham, AL where she can receive the proper treatment. We now know of her new diagnosis, Lupus which has completely invaded her organs, starting with her lungs, and heart. She has since undergone several invasive procedures to help determine how to treat her from here on out. She continues to fight this battle with determination in faith as our Heavenly Father continues to guide her and all involved with her health.

As her mother, I have always been a sole provider, and lived within my means to provide for my family. As my only child fights for her life, she is constantly reaching out for my hand, and wanting to hear my voice of encouragement. I have not been able to leave her bedside to work. As a lot of you know, I have recently relocated from California to Alabama and am still getting reestablished here. My husband and I have since depleted most of our savings during our move.  

We are reaching out to our family and friends to ask for help with Angelina’s medical costs. There is nothing that prepares us for these difficult times. It is only the love and support we receive from each of you that dulls our pain and eases our worries. We deeply appreciate the love, donations, and supportive wishes and prayers from each of you.
