Hey all! Many of you know my younger sister, Angela, as a vibrant, strong, loving young woman who loves a good joke. The past 4 1/2 months of her life have brought some difficulties, however. She has been unable to eat solid food and most liquid food since September. She lost weight quickly and is now surviving on a feeding tube. She has been in and out of the hospital and OR and specialists' offices. She has been unable to work, which means she and her husband, Danny, have been down one income during this time as well. She was finally referred to Mayo Clinic and we are hoping for some answers. However, there are many appointments to go through before we can get to that point. Between everyday bills, medical charges that insurance isn't covering, loss of an income, and traveling and lodging expenses for her appointments at the Mayo, finances is a huge stressor right now.
