This GoFundMe is being organized on behalf of my dear friends, Angela & Norm Abella.

Norm, whose profession is sales, lost his job through a RIF back in March. While searching for a job in his profession he took a job with a temp agency. On April 25th, while unloading a truckload of voting cabinets, weighing 750 lbs. each, one of the cabinets came down and landed on one of Norm's legs, causing a crushing, devastating injury.

Yesterday Norm was admitted to Texas Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft Worth, Texas and today underwent surgery on his leg. The damage is extensive, and Norm is expected to be in the hospital for at least a week, possibly two.

While workmens' comp. will kick in, we all know that can take time. As Angela is disabled and unable to work, Norm is the breadwinner, meaning that until that kicks in, they are completely without funds.
