My name is Angela, and in 2021, I contracted a severe case of COVID and was hospitalized for it. I recovered slowly, but by 2022, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I went through 5 months of chemotherapy through a port in my chest every week, 20 treatments of radiation every day, 5 days a week, and 4 surgeries. I have the BRCA2 genetic gene. I am my own self-support with no living family and no significant other to help me. I have ongoing prescription costs and medical bills, as I have to follow up with diagnostic MRIs, oncology appointments, and other diagnostic testing every 6 months. In addition to my ongoing medical bills, I have my daily cost of living bills, food, nutritional supplements, and survival, which is more than my minimal income.
