Stand with Angel Sanchez in His Healing Journey

On Sunday May 19 2024 Angel Sanchez was hard at it as usual practicing for the IBEW International Rodeo. Last year he and his team represented Local 769 at the rodeo. Always the perfectionist he had set up at the neutral height and was focused on passing his safety. That’s when it happened Angel missed his safety and undid his skid, leaned back and realized his mistake. He fell about 20 ft and landed on his left side and back sustaining serious injuries. He shattered his left elbow, broke his left clavicle, fractured a bone at the base of his neck, fractured three ribs, and opened his pelvis. Surgery took over 9hrs to rebuild his elbow and plate his pelvis. He will be bed ridden for 6-12 weeks while the pelvis heals. Most likely 4 to 6 months before he can fully return to work. Angel has been active in the apprenticeship and union serving on the Executive Board the past few years. He is constantly giving back to the trade and brotherhood. Now it is our turn to give back to him and his family. Please help out with what you can when you can. Spread the word so our injured brother doesn’t need to worry about the cost of rehab or worry how his family will be taken care of.
