Stand with Amy Vaughn: Restore Her Opportunity

Amy Vaughn, dedicated DAR member and owner of Glass With A Past Gifts was accepted as a vendor at DAR Continental Congress 2025. Amy supports her family making beautiful, historic jewelry and was actually recognized by DAR in 2023 as a 1st place national winner for her work. Amy has been working diligently to get ready for this event. However, she was notified that the DAR Executive committee has CANCELED her as a vendor due to a post she made on an UNOFFICIAL DAR member Facebook page. Amy was reported by other members of this page. The post was in regards to a hypothetical situation - It was not meant in malice but as a valid concern. Amy was attacked in the past and is therefore more sensitive to this subject. Regardless, she has the liberty to exercise her freedom of speech just like the rest of us. The post in no way hampers DAR Continental Congress. This kind of CANCELLATION is in fact one of the reasons DAR was founded to begin with.
