Our dear cousin, Amy Gordon, is one of the most beautiful souls you could ever meet. She’s a devoted mother to her two beloved children, Caroline and Sydney, and the adoring wife of Doug — the love of her life. Her unwavering commitment to family, friends, and her community has touched more lives than we could ever count.

Amy has spent her life giving to others — as a dedicated teacher, and as the founder and director of Life Skills in Action, where she has helped countless individuals build confidence, independence, and a brighter future. She leads with love, gives with purpose, and shows up for everyone.

To her enormous family, Amy has always been our “oldest cousin and niece” — the bright light who brought us together, who planned our gatherings, who always made sure no one felt alone. She has a heart as big as her smile, and whatever you needed, Amy was there.

Now, it’s our turn to be there for Amy.

Last week, while on a family vacation, Amy became suddenly ill and was rushed to the ER. After a whirlwind of tests, we received heartbreaking news: Amy has been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which has already spread to her liver and lungs. On top of that, she is battling multiple blood clots. Just yesterday, Amy underwent surgery to biopsy the tumor on her pancreas, and we are awaiting results to learn more about her specific diagnosis and treatment options.

Amy is anxious to return home, to be with her family, and to hold her children close as they face the road ahead — a road filled with uncertainty, but also with hope, love, and the strength of the community she has given so much to.
