Stand with Amy and Jeff Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hello my friends, Pax here. Our friends Amy and Jeff are facing a very serious cancer situation. Mucinous peritoneal cancer, also known as peritoneal mucinous carcinomatosis (PMCA), is a rare and aggressive cancer that affects the lining of the abdominal cavity. Cancer cells from other parts of the body, like the appendix, colon, or liver, spread to the peritoneum. This causes a buildup of mucin, a jelly-like substance, in the abdomen and pelvis.
Symptoms
In early stages, there may be few symptoms. As the disease progresses, symptoms can include:
Treatment
Treatment usually involves surgery followed by chemotherapy. If the cancer can't be treated effectively, debulking surgery may be used to remove as much of the tumor as possible.
As many of you know, Amy has faced many trials. Now this.
I'm reaching out to my Facebook community of acquaintances and friends today, and asking you all to share this fundraiser far and wide, give if you can, be kind to others, and Practice Love! Let's do what we can for Amy and Jeff in this exceedingly trying time.
