Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Strangers,
On March 6th, 2025, was an appointment we'd all been anxiously waiting for at Boston Children's Hospital. That day, the doctors found a 2 1/2 inch mass under her tongue. Since then, Amiyah has had a biopsy, CT scans/PET scans, then surgery again to put her port in.
Amiyah celebrated her 15th birthday on March 21st! Today, on Tuesday, March 25th, she got her final diagnosis: She has a rare type of Sarcoma, Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT), a battle no child should have to face. it was a complete shock to all of us. Chemotherapy starts tonight and she is preparing to fight one of the toughest battles of her life. But if you know our beautiful Amiyah, you know she is a fighter, and she is so strong, courageous, and always full of light.
Her sister Briella one night told her, "I wish I had cancer and not you." Amiyah told her, "I have this because God knows I can fight it."
Amiyah's treatment plan involves chemotherapy at Dana-Farber Jimmy Fund, also radiation, and multiple surgeries. Her journey will be challenging, but she faces it with unwavering strength and a heart full of hope and faith.
We will need to take time away from work to be by her side every step of the way, ensuring she gets the care, love, and support she needs to beat this!
We are asking for your help to ease the financial burden so we can focus entirely on Amiyah’s health and well-being. Your generous support will go toward medical expenses, travel costs, and everyday essentials that will allow us as her parents to be there without the added stress of financial strain.
Amiyah is an incredible young woman—kind, resilient, and loved by so many. We believe in her strength, and with your support, she won’t have to fight alone. Every donation, share, and prayer makes a difference. Let’s rally around Amiyah and show her she has an army of love standing with her.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Together, we can help Amiyah fight and win this battle!
With gratitude,
Lisa and Gene, Amiyah's Parents
