I am Noor Mushtaha. I survived the continuous genocide in Gaza and made it safely to Australia after a tough, long journey.

I left some of my loved ones behind, and I worry about them every day.

My name is Amal, and I am 27 years old. I reside in the northern region of Gaza City with my beloved son, Husam, who is two and a half years old. Our lives have been fraught with challenges, as I have been compelled to vacate my residence on seven separate occasions due to the ongoing conflict.

As you know, since October 2023, we prepared our bags and keep them infront of the door for emergency cases. In March 2024, my husband and I, along with his family, were forced to relocate abruptly. For six harrowing days, our home was under constant threat, surrounded by bombings in every direction. Fearing for our safety, we often sought refuge in the bathroom, believing it to be the safest room in the house. Eventually, we made the difficult decision to evacuate our home in search of a more secure environment.

Currently, my husband is unemployed, and the quality of life for our young son has been severely impacted. The once carefree outings to the sea or play areas that enriched our lives are now distant memories, replaced by a stark reality where we are unable to provide such experiences for our child. Furthermore, our home is in dire need of extensive repairs to restore it to a habitable condition after the significant damages incurred during the tragic events of the conflict.

Regrettably, my parents, sisters, and brother were compelled to relocate to the southern region of Gaza six months ago, resulting in a heartbreaking separation that continues to weigh heavily on my heart.

In this uncertain and tumultuous time, I humbly seek your assistance. Whether it be support to sustain our presence in Gaza or aid in facilitating a potential relocation, the future remains uncertain, and any form of assistance would be deeply appreciated.
