Alton Fry is in the midst of a battle—but his faith is unwavering.
A few months ago, Alton was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. His treatment plan is intense: 28 weeks of daily radiation therapy, paired with a six-month course of advanced hormone therapy to stop the cancer from spreading.
Alton is uninsured. He applied for both Medicaid and Georgia Pathways, but was denied. Every cost—from treatment to transportation—is falling squarely on his shoulders.
But here’s what makes Alton’s story extraordinary: he isn’t just fighting cancer—he’s continuing to fight the good fight of faith.
Alton is a native Georgian, a master stone mason, and a man in long-term recovery from addiction. Through Christ, he has turned his life around—and for years, he has poured himself into helping others do the same. He’s mentored others in recovery, shared his story with humility, and spread the hope of Jesus Christ at every opportunity.
Even now, in a time of uncertainty, he continues to pray with others, speak life into dark places, and point people to the Healer.
Alton can’t work while undergoing treatment. He’s trying to keep his household going and cover the mounting medical bills. We’re asking you—his friends, his faith family, and compassionate strangers—to help carry this burden with him.
Your gift will help cover:
• Radiation and oncology care.
• Prescription medications.
• Transportation to and from treatments.
• Basic living expenses while he is unable to work.
Galatians 6:2 tells us to “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” This is one of those moments.
If Alton has ever prayed for you, worked alongside you, inspired you, or simply reminded you of the goodness of God—please consider giving. No amount is too small. And if you can’t give right now, your prayers and shares are just as important.
Let’s lift our brother Alton in his time of need.
