My brother Alija Smajic was diagnosed with a very severe case of pneumonia, which caused extensive damage to his lungs. The doctors were not able to identify what was causing the pneumonia from the start. He has been in the hospital for over a week and is expected to come out in the next few days. He has undergone a small procedure as well as getting a biopsy.

He will be coming home on an oxygen breathing tank because of the damage it has done to his lungs and will be out of work at least for the next month until his lungs start to heal up a little bit, which can be a long process. We are looking for support in helping Alija with his medical expenses that are over 20 thousand dollars and to help with small bills because he is unable to work for the next month.
