Stand with Alex Against Trader Joe’s Union-Busting
Donation protected
On Saturday, May 11, Alex Black—a visible and vocal union supporter—was abruptly and unfairly terminated from his job at Trader Joe’s in Chicago (Store #688, North Center).
Alex is currently seeking mutual aid to help recoup lost wages and provide financial support as he prepares for the legal battle ahead.
In February, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) alleged that Trader Joe’s had illegally fired union supporters, posted false information about the union, unlawfully interrogated union workers, threatened to freeze workers’ wages if they unionized … and forced workers to attend unlawful “captive audience” meetings to hear the company’s position against unionizing.
With the support of his contacts at Trader Joe’s United, Alex is currently seeking legal counsel and building a case against the organization.
Financial donations are welcome and appreciated, but amplifying and sharing this story is the goal. Consumers deserve to know the truth about Trader Joe’s, and Crew Members—like Alex and many others—deserve justice.
Thank you for your support. Solidarity forever!
