Alex Gonzalez, 46, has a story similar to so many—married to the love of his life, owned his own business, and living the dream. His wife Melis, 45, got sick and fought cancer for 5 years until she succumbed last May. In the meantime, Alex had to sell his business to take care of her. He’s been working maintenance at my mother’s condo complex to pay the bills.

He just told us that the condo association has fired the company he works for and his mother is in the hospital, filling up with fluid. The doctors don’t know what’s wrong and she doesn’t have insurance. He has no idea what to do next.
