Our Lao community is facing a heartbreaking and unjust situation.
Ajarn Thoungkhoune is a Buddhist monk who has faithfully served our temple and community with humility, compassion, and dedication. For 3 decades, he has offered prayers, guidance, and spiritual support to families, elders, and those in need. He came here to serve with a pure heart — not for status, not for money — but to live the monastic life in accordance with the Buddha’s teachings.
Despite his sincere service and peaceful conduct, Ajarn is now facing pressure, intimidation, and attempts to remove him from the temple without due process, compassion, or transparent reasoning. He is being placed in an impossible and painful position — one monk standing alone against powerful interests.
This is not the Buddhist way.
This is not the Lao way.
And this is not how a community grounded in compassion should treat one of its own.
Ajarn Thoungkhoune is not asking for luxury.
He is asking for dignity, safety, and fairness.
This GoFundMe is being created to:
• Provide Ajarn with emergency living support
• Assist with basic needs (food, housing, transportation)
• Help cover legal consultation and documentation
• Protect him from being displaced without proper process
• Give him the stability to continue practicing his faith peacefully
We believe in karma, compassion, and justice.
We believe elders and monks should be protected — not pushed aside.
If you believe in fairness, kindness, and standing up for what is right, please consider supporting Ajarn. Every donation, share, and prayer helps give him strength during this difficult time.
Thank you for standing for compassion.
Thank you for standing for truth.
And thank you for standing for Ajarn.
