My friend, Ahmad, is one of the strongest people I know and he needs our help! The judge rejected his case for a green card so he is filing for an appeal and needs to raise enough money to cover the court and lawyer fees by Sept 10th!

Ahmad is from a war-torn country. In 2023, he lost his immediate family, along with many other relatives and friends. In 2024, he used his entire life's savings to leave and sought refuge here in the U.S. His father had previously emigrated here and is a U.S. citizen. He is devastated at the thought of having to leave his father, his only remaining family member, and the place he has now made his home.

I met Ahmad when he drove his ice cream truck down my neighborhood. He saw his country's flag waving from my deck and we immediately bonded. Since then, we have become friends.

His contract work as an ice cream truck driver allows him to cover some of the court fees. He has found another lawyer that will represent him better. But he needs our help! I'm asking the community to please help raise enough money so that he can apply for an appeal and avoid deportation. He has suffered more than most of us could ever imagine. Let's give him hope that there are good people in this world!
