Please stand with Abby's Family in Their Time of Loss

Starting a GoFundMe for a friend that lost her child is not something anyone wants to do.

Losing a child is a mother's worst nightmare and unfortunately, Abby, our friend and her family, are living that nightmare at the moment. Even as I write this, it's gut-wrenching to imagine the pain they are experiencing.

From the beginning, Elijah was in a rush to begin his life outside the womb, in retrospect, he maybe knew his life on earth would be short so he wanted to enjoy every single minute of it and more importantly, he wanted everyone to enjoy his presence. He was truly a gift to his mom, dad, sister, brother, and everyone that got a chance to meet him. Elijah was a ray of sunshine to Mom especially as she had recently lost her mother. His existence was a lifeline to their family and for those 18 months of his life, he eased their pain and brought so much joy to their life by just being Elijah. And now this... Trying to find why God must work so mysteriously, having so many questions and wanting all the answers that may probably never come.

And at the same time, while grieving this unimaginable loss, the mundane tasks of planning a funeral must be handled. One is never prepared for these things, especially for a child, but yet they still have to be arranged. Funeral home needs to be contacted, casket must be selected, final outfit picked out, flowers ordered, and all these are expenses that the family was not prepared for.
