We are reaching out to share some deeply heartbreaking news about our colleague and friend, Aaron Barnshaw, one of our talented cooks and a valued member of our team.

On July 21st, Aaron experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Many of you may have seen the Amber Alert that went out across Kansas — tragically, the alert was for Aaron’s missing 2-year-old nephew. In the devastating incident that followed, Aaron’s sister and father were both killed.

This loss comes just weeks after Aaron also lost his mother to cancer. His sister had been his partner in navigating that grief and helping him through the process of keeping and maintaining their mother’s home. In just a short time, Aaron has lost nearly his entire immediate family and now faces an overwhelming journey of legal, financial, and emotional responsibilities — all while trying to stay strong for his young nephew.

We have let Aaron know that we are here for him in every way — personally and professionally — and that he has our full support as he navigates this extremely difficult time.
