Hello Friends…

This week, I have seen a replay of what happens when reckless men who “like to party” do so at the expense of others, resulting in violence and physical abuse. I grew up with domestic violence—the sounds, the fear. My mom was brave, and she left. My friend is brave, and she stayed until she was beaten in the most indescribable way. I saw firsthand the abuse over the years—the loss of friends, seeing her isolate, disappearing. As her friend, I knew what was happening. I knew the signs; I saw the mental, physical, and in the end, almost deadly outcome. I can’t say her name, and she didn’t ask me to, but I would like to help her protect herself as the DA presses charges for abuse that was unthinkable. I witnessed this with my mom, stepmom, and others after. This never stops, and the courage to heal is tremendous. Please stand with me to donate.
