Stand with a Family Through Health Crisis

In January 2015 with 4 children under the age of 6, I packed up my 1999 grand am with a trunk full of clothes and just $400. We had been staying in a domestic violence shelter in Detroit, Mi. Not even there was safe for us anymore. I drove out of a snow storm, through the night, and into Atlanta Georgia. Since then, I have been building a life for my children and myself. In December of 2023 I began swelling all over my body, my feet were so huge that they were leaking fluid from my pores, I had lesions all over my body, and my skin was literally falling off. I wasn't able to get any answers and it only got worse. I could no longer drive more than 25 minutes. I had to leave my job to work from home and took a $5/hr pay cut. Things have been extremely tight ever since. The job i took unexpectedly fired 100+ people the week of Thanksgiving 2024. I took that time to rest my body and see more specialists. I didnt end up finding another job until March 2025. I was barely making ends meet. The job was in person and I was loving getting out of the house daily, until i got sick again. I had a series of asthma attacks that send me into respiratory distress coupled with Rhinovirus i caught from someone in the office with my compromised immune system. I spent a week in ICU. After that i could not risk my health returning to the office. While recovering i got a call with a job offer to work from home for Wellstar Hospital, where i currently work. Truly a blessing, but i already was barely making ends meet Ive been struggling to pay for prescriptions copays and bills (much like everyone else) My June rent is Late, my car note is paid, but my insurance is set to lapse. I need help to get ahead so that i can maintain on my own. If i could get caught up and set forward a month, that would give me time to get properly on my feet. I’ve have 3 new diagnosis in the past 2 months and all have a treatment plan thank God! I have the best most supportive kids ever. My oldest daughter was 5 when we moved she is now 16 going to the 11th grade. a participant in JROTC, set to go to the military after graduation, and working this summer for the Atlanta Fire Dept Cadet program. My 14 yr old son is having trouble finding his way and i have him in mentor programs and counseling. My 13 yr old daughter loves to do hair and sells bracelets. My 11 yr old daughter crotchets and I will be helping her to start a business. I have faith that we will be okay. i am still looking for health answers and seeing specialists but taking things 1 day at a time. i am behind on my rent and in danger of eviction, i also will need to obtain new auto insurance as it is set to lapse due to missing my recent payment.
