On April 23, 2025, while peacefully recording public proceedings inside the Louisiana State Capitol, I had my camera forcibly removed by the Sergeant-at-Arms. In the photo above, you see the moment—me holding my camera while it’s being pulled from my hands.
I believe this action was a direct violation of my constitutional rights—specifically my First Amendment right to record and hold government accountable.
I’m not just raising money to fight my own legal battle—I’m building something bigger:
• To defend the rights of citizens to record their government
• To support legal challenges that protect free speech
• To help fund other advocates and truth-tellers who face retaliation for speaking out
All funds from this campaign will go to a separate, dedicated account for:
• Legal fees & court costs
• Advocacy work & public outreach
• Supporting aligned causes & grassroots voices
If you believe in transparency, freedom of the press, and the right to record, I ask you to stand with me.
Donate what you can. Share this widely. Help me turn this fight into a movement.
Let’s send a message to Louisiana—and every government body—that the people are watching, and we’re not backing down.
