Stand Up for Sharon

Hi everyone! My name is Dave and my mom, Sharon, is a retired teacher with a master's degree in TESOL, a top-notch grandmother and parent, volunteer, and generally, one of the kindest, toughest, most loving, most persevering, and most amazing people on the planet! Over the years she has worked hard as an advocate for non-native English speaking students, jail ministry recipients, and many others in need of kindness. She has accomplished all this in spite of a terrible accident resulting in the loss of her left arm and right leg... at the age of 19!

While she has always been stolid in the face of her status as an amputee and has busted through so many limits that others would likely perceive as impossible that I couldn't begin to list them, she has occasionally lamented not being able to stand and talk to folks at eye level.

The newly released Zeen wheelchair (https://gozeen.com/) would give her that ability, which comes with a slew of mental and physical health benefits, not to mention the increased mobility and new ways she would be empowered to interact with the world.

This wheelchair costs $3800 plus tax and accessories, I threw out $5k as a number that would likely get her the chair and equipment and spare parts she needs to use it properly.

Mom could certainly figure out a way to pay for this and will likely try to reject any benefit that comes from this fund. In my opinion, though, she deserves this and has PAID ENOUGH!!! I encourage you to ignore any remarks she might make :), and join me in trying to help provide this basic (yet darned expensive) ability for her.
