Our amazing friend, drummer, and selfless supporter of others, Eric, is hospitalized and undergoing emergency surgeries after being run over by a car while biking.

While biking safely in the bike lane, a car crashed into him and ran him over as they drove away. Both of his legs are broken, his hip is broken in two places, and multiple surgeries are needed.

Eric has always been a fireball of encouragement and positive energy. He loves to serve people and to help in any way that he can. He lives humbly and doesn't have much, but he is always the first to offer help to anyone in need.

We are asking for help and support for this kind man. Before this disaster struck him, he worked as a masseuse and traveled everywhere by bike; he simply has no prospects for supporting himself in the foreseeable future. In addition to his living expenses, he is going to need rehabilitation services, medical supplies, and home care. His cat, Angel, is being cared for by community volunteers at the moment, but his ability to care for his elderly cat—the love of his life—is also uncertain.

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to enable Eric a slight reprieve from the stress and uncertainty of his future. The relief of knowing that, for a few months, he is not at risk of being evicted, he will be able to acquire the medical support devices that he'll need, and he will be able to properly care for his sweet Angel.
