Stand Strong with Stefano

Hi Everyone!

I want to take this time to let you know about a very special person in my life, my Zio Stefano He is one of the only men in my life that has ALWAYS supported me and our family, even in the most trying times of our lives he has always been there for us. When my mom and Nonna battled cancer together, he was there... When my parents divorced, he was there... When my dad could not be a man, he was always there as a father figure and best role model to always make us feel loved. Still to this day he ALWAYS celebrates us and treats my siblings and I as his very own. Not that it really matters, but our childhood was filled with the best toys and jokes because of him. Seeing how proud Nicole, David, and I make him feel is really the best feeling ever..

The day after Christmas my uncle had a random pain in his abdomen which led him to pursue more testing... I thank God for that sign and to our surprise they found cancer.. About a month ago he was diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer.. As this is not our first rodeo with cancer, we are once again faced with the unknown and worries that comes along with a cancer diagnosis.. Of course Zio Stefano’s first and only reaction to this is to beat it, thank God he is smart and strong, but with all the side effects of his treatments he finds himself having to take more breaks and focus on his health rather than working full time right now..

Without even knowing it, I went from that lil monkey that clung to his side to now being a part of his SUPPORT team, along with the rest of his amazing and loving friends and family, in these trying times.

Zio, I thank you for always changing my diapers as a baby and buying me the coolest toys growing up but, NOW its my turn to help you! Although I have the greatest pleasure of being there for him at his appointments, along with be able to disconnect him from his portable chemo pump (those moments of FREEDOM are great HAHA) I am not able to help my Zio and my zia financially as a college student the way I would like to...

So I am turning to Zio Stefano’s wonderful loving friends and family for their help right now as my Zio, my Zia, and my lil Gs could really use it right now..

Anything helps!!!
I really thank you all and would love any acknowledgements of my family’s struggle right now... Even simply praying for Stefano and our family would be greatly appreciated..

Loving God, I pray that you will comfort Stefano in his suffering, lend skill to the hands of his healers, and bless the means used for his cure. Give him such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when he is afraid, he may put his whole trust in you; through our Savior Jesus Christ.
