Paige, DeYanna, and Chris are facing one of the most overwhelming and life-altering moments they have ever experienced. Paige and DeYanna were recently assaulted at a peaceful demonstration at Whipple by a well known agitator, and Chris reacted like any good father or husband would do to protect his family. Following the incident, Paige was approached by a Hennepin County Sheriff for questioning after the incident. During that interaction, officers physically grabbed her, placed her in a chokehold where she couldn't breath for 15 seconds, forced her to the ground, held a knee on her neck, and sprayed mace in her face. It was not an arrest and no Miranda rights were read. In that moment, her boyfriend Lorenzo stepped in to protect her from the physical assault by the officers, but then he was arrested. What should have been a peaceful, light- hearted celebration that day turned into something traumatic and life-changing for their family.
As a result, Paige suffered a sprained neck, multiple bruises, a knee injury, and head trauma. In the aftermath, their family has been doxxed. Their address, phone number, places of employment, and school have been exposed to the media. They have been threatened, harassed, and subjected to false information being spread about their family, creating fear, anxiety, instability, and confusion in their daily lives. Additionally, as a result of the negative media, they also experienced the devastating loss of their jobs and income for their family, leaving them in a difficult financial situation.
